Hope UK is a charity with a Christian foundation which works within church networks but also spends at least 50% of its time and resources helping other voluntary and faith groups as well as schools. Furthermore, much of the work undertaken with local Christian groups enables their staff and volunteers to better serve their surrounding communities.
Because our members and Educators recognize the importance of peer influence and role modeling, they have made personal decisions not to use alcohol, tobacco or illegal drugs.
The guiding principles that underpin Hope UK’s work are:
• Caring for oneself
• Caring for others
As well as being part of mainstream ‘primary prevention’ activities in alcohol and drug education, these principles are at the heart of Christian teaching.

David Edgington, one of Hope UK’s Trustees, has written A Call to Action which explains the rationale for Hope UK from a Christian perspective.
Hope UK is grateful to everyone who supports our work with prayer. Prayer points are sent out with in a prayer diary supplied three/four times a year.
