Six Educators carried out 2 drug awareness sessions last year. A Regional Representative is needed to support them, help them find opportunities to use their training, and to recruit more Educators. One of our Drug Educators is interested in filling this role on a one-day-per-week basis, but funding is needed to cover her salary (approx £4,000 per year, including expenses).
In 2009, eight Educators carried out 26 drug awareness sessions including Scouts groups, schools, church groups and Hull City Council.
Seventeen voluntary Drug Educators are available to provide drug awareness sessions for children, young people, parents and youth and church workers.
