As a children and young people’s charity, Hope UK is keen to involve them in every aspect of our work – from governance (as apprentice Trustees) to service delivery (as peer mentors). This is in the early stages of development and links into the contacts we make through the Drugs, Sex and You 8-session course and the Alcohol-free Today project (AFT), both of which are relatively new.
For the past three years, young people have been invited to attend our annual conference for voluntary Drug Educators. Each year they have their own programme. Last year the theme was Survival and the sessions and workshops were aimed at helping them thrive in an increasingly stressful world. Most are members of Hope UK’s Generation Hope project.
