Hope UK

There are many ways you can help Hope UK

By giving…

Preventing drug-related harm and enabling children and young people to live their lives to the full requires long-term commitment.

It costs £858 to train one Voluntary Drug Educator (with a 120 hour course accredited with the Open College Network). After this initial training, it costs £385 per year to provide them with the ongoing support and encouragement they need, including an annual conference. In return, these highly committed men and women give their time freely to enable children and young people to make drug-free choices.

This approach will repay your investment many times over by promoting good health and good citizenship — helping young people to be positive role models for their peers.

By recycling…

Recycle unwanted jewellery (gold and silver, costume jewellery and watches) as well as mobiles and old UK or foreign currency and make money for Hope UK.   Ask us to send you a FREEPOST envelope, or package your items and post to Hope UK, FREEPOST, CENTRAL RECYCLING.

If you want to help us advertise this, please click here for a poster to put up at your church or youth group.

By inviting an Educator…

Educators can provide drug awareness sessions for children, young people and those with responsibility for them, but only if they are given the opportunity!   Some of them are also able to deliver Hope UK’s two-day training courses for youth workers and family workers (accredited with the Open College Network).  Please download and complete the booking form.

By telling others about Hope UK…

The Resources section describes leaflets and fliers that are available to help you promote the work of Hope UK. Click here to access the order form.

By becoming a voluntary Drug Educator…

Hope UK is looking for Christians able to recruit at least nine others in their local area who want to help enable young people in their communities to make drug-free choices. Click here to find out more.

By becoming a member of Hope UK…

Membership is free to anyone willing to adopt a lifestyle free from the use of alcohol, tobacco and illegal drugs. We ask this because individuals willing to stand out from the crowd can positively influence those around them.  People notice when you don’t drink alcohol.  With 36 children a day being admitted to hospital because of their alcohol consumption, there is a great need for consistent and unambiguous adult role models demonstrating that alcohol is not an indispensible part of life.  Click here to download our membership form.
