How we can help

Parents evening May 06 2 Hope UK’s core work is training suitable volunteers to become Drug Educators in their own communities. Volunteers are trained with a 120-hour course accredited with the Open College Network which consists of 9 distance learning modules and three practical training weekends.  The course equips them to work with children and young people in a variety of settings, including schools and youth groups.  It also enables them to help parents and youth workers incorporate drug prevention into the work they do with the children and young people for whom they are responsible.

Hope UK also offers two-day accredited drug awareness courses for youth workers and family workers.

An 8-session course for youth groups (Drugs, Sex and You) is available in areas where we have voluntary Drug Educators trained to deliver it.  Contact us to find out about availability in your area.
